The Book Passage Travel Writers & Photographers Conference is well known among publishers, editors, and writers. Alumni have published books, articles, and photos. Many of these have been credited as the direct result of lessons learned and contacts made at the conference.

The Conference offers an array of workshops, panels, and evening activities. There are many hours of informal interaction between faculty and students during lunch and in discussions that often last late into the evening. This year's faculty consists of more than two dozen professionals including the following:

Pauline Frommer - Co-President of Frommer Media
Sara Button - editorial assistant at AFAR Magazine
Tim Cahill - author of many travel books
Robert Holmes - 4x Winner of the Society of American Travel Writers Travel Photographer of the Year Award
Andrew McCarthy - director and award-winning travel writer

Pre-conferences on writing, photography and sketching will be held on August 8, 2018.
